Kenneth Dale Eoff, known professionally as Kenny Dale, was born on October 3, 1951, in Artesia, New Mexico. He began his career as a country music artist in the 1970s and recorded four albums for Capitol Records. His breakthrough came with the release of "Only Love Can Break A Heart", a cover version of Gene Pitney's song, which peaked at number 7 on the charts. Dale also charted several other country hits, including "Bluest Heartache of the Year". He released six studio albums, including Only Love Can Break A Heart (1979), When It's Just You And Me (1981), Breakin' Hearts And Bendin' Strings (1985) and The Versatility of Kenny Dale (1986). Dale retired from the country music business in the early 1980s and later worked as a school bus driver in San Antonio, Texas. He died on July 15, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19.
