Biography

Kenneth Andrew Doty (performing as Ken Andrews; born June 18, 1967) is an American alternative rock, alternative metal, and indie rock musician, singer-songwriter, record producer, and audio engineer from Seattle. Andrews co-founded the group Failure in 1990, releasing the albums Comfort (1992), Magnified (1994), and Fantastic Planet (1996). Following the group's 1997 dissolution, Andrews performed under the moniker ON, releasing the album Shifting Skin (2000), and fronted the band Year of the Rabbit. Andrews released the solo album Secrets of the Lost Satellite (2007) and the EP What's Coming (2020). As a producer and mixing engineer, Andrews worked with artists including Nine Inch Nails, Beck, and A Perfect Circle, and co-produced the 2006 film theme “You Know My Name”. Failure reunited in 2014, releasing the albums The Heart Is a Monster (2015) and Wild Type Droid (2021). In 2025, Andrews performed with Hayley Williams at a benefit concert.
