Keith Kane, born in the United States of America, is an American musician known for his role as a singer and rhythm guitarist. He began his music career with Vertical Horizon, which he co-founded with Matt Scannell while they were students at Georgetown University in 1991. The duo released their debut album There and Back Again in 1992 and later signed with RCA Records in 1998. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Everything You Want" from the album Everything You Want, which reached Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2000 and was certified double platinum by the RIAA. Kane contributed to several notable albums, including Go (2003) and Burning the Days (2009). He left Vertical Horizon in June 2010.
