Justin Warfield, born Justin Warfield on 20â¯Aprilâ¯1973 in the United States, emerged as a vocalist and guitarist in the early 1990s, drawing on hipâhop and rock influences. He entered the music scene with the 1991 single "Season of the Vic", which peaked at numberâ¯18 on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart, and followed with his debut album My Field Trip To Planet 9 released in 1993, featuring production from Prince Paul and QDIII. The album showcased Warfieldâs blend of rap and experimental rock, establishing his presence in alternative circles. In 1995 he released Justin Warfield Supernaut on 12â¯September, further exploring psychedelic rock textures. Throughout the 2000s, Warfield collaborated with acts such as Bomb the Bass on "Bug Powder Dust" (reaching numberâ¯24 on the UK Singles Chart in 1994) and contributed guest vocals to projects by Placebo, Cornershop, and The Chemical Brothers. He also released a selfâtitled mixtape, Black Hesh Cult Mixtape, in Julyâ¯2013, and announced a new project under the name Warfield in 2025, set to launch an EP with Cleopatra Records.
