Jumprava, a Latvian band formed in Riga in April 1984, initially included AinÄrs AÅ¡manis, MÄris JurjÄns, AinÄrs Vilde, and Antonija Breidaka. Their debut album No tÄvu zemes was released in 1985, featuring notable tracks "Par rozÄm" and "MÄkonis". The band gained prominence with their inclusion on the compilation Mikrofons â85. In subsequent years, Jumprava underwent several lineup changes. Despite these challenges, they continued to produce successful albums such as Jumprava (1988) and PilsÄta (1989), which included hits like "Å eit lejÄ" and "Ziemeļmeita". The band won the Mikrofons competition in 1990 and 1991 with songs "BaltÄ" and "PeldÄtÄjs", but disbanded shortly after. Jumprava reunited in 1997 under Platforma Music, releasing Laika atšķirÄ«bu romance (1998) and receiving the Latvian Music Industry Award for their contributions to Latvian music. Their later albums include Trajektorija (2001), Inkarmo (2005), and Laiks runÄ (2014).
