Biography

Born in Barcelona, Spain, on November 22, 1989, Caballero (real name Artur Caballero MaÃ±as Sentis) grew up in Belgium, listening to local rap music from the age of 12, notably from Brussels' Convoi, in the group Ultime Team, but also Gandhi and Scylla. He then joined the group Les Corbeaux and the collective Black Syndicat, and came to prominence in 2011 with his first project, Laisse-Moi Faire, which introduced audiences to his versatile pen. A few months later, he released the "Freestyle de la cigarette fumante" video , with its totally emancipated style, which opened the way to numerous collaborations in Switzerland, France and, of course, Belgium. He then crossed paths with Lomepal, and the two decided, in view of their shared references, to produce a duo project, supervised by Hologramme Lo'. In 2013, Caballero released the album Laisse-Nous Faire Vol. 1, followed a year later by the EP Le Pont de la Reine. In 2016, he teamed up with JeanJass (Exodarap) for a joint project entitled Double HÃ©lice, which managed to enter the French album sales chart. Their collaboration led to numerous albums: Double HÃ©lice 2 (2017), Double HÃ©lice 3 (2018), High & Fines Herbes (2020), Zushiboyz, Volume 1 (2021), Zushiboyz, Volume 1 (2022), High & Fines Herbes La Mixtape - Volume 2 (2023), Zushiboyz volume 3 and 4 in 2024. Despite all these duo releases, Caballero was also very productive as a solo artist, with the album OSO in 2021, the EP OSITO in 2022 and the album Dose HÃ©roÃ¯que in 2024 (No. 9 in France). The latter features several collaborations, with Dinos, Lesram, Benjamin Vndredi and Edge.
