Born Jassim Jean Ramdani, the Belgian rapper of Moroccan descent JeanJass was born on May 10, 1988. He grew up in Charleroi and burst onto the scene in the 2010s on a Belgian rap scene that was then in full swing, from which talents such as Roméo Elvis, Damso, Hamza, and Krisy were gradually emerging. He was initially part of the group Exodarap before forming the influential duo Caballero et JeanJass with Caballero, a Belgian rapper of Spanish descent. After three mixtapes with Exodarap (Concept Paradoxe in 2009, Exodarap LP in 2012, and LâExode in 2013), he released the EP Jean XVI in 2014 with beatmaker Le Seize, then released his first solo mixtape that same year, titled Goldman. Following the EP Instrumental in 2015, he focused on his duo with Caballero, which saw him release three albums in the Double Hélice series between 2016 and 2018 and a mixtape, High et Fines Herbes, in 2020. Then in 2021, he released his second solo album, Hat Trick, featuring contributions from Raf, Némir, and Akhenaton. In 2022, he teamed up with Youssoupha, Tuerie, Fuku, and Jazzy Bazz, among others, to produce his album Doudoune en Ãté, which reached number 57 on the French charts. While continuing his career as part of a duo, JeanJass pursued his own path through collaborations with Mairo, Fuku, and Keroué, leading up to the release of the album *Tous Ces Ongles Rongés* in 2024, which reached No. 15 on the SNEP album chart in France. The following year, he teamed up with Jungle Jack, formerly known as Jack Furaxx, for the album *Cognacs & Cigarettes* (ranked No. 16), featuring Caballero on one track. JeanJass returned in 2026 with his third album, Les Champs de Sacs Plastique, which reached No. 22 on the SNEP chart, featuring Chilly Gonzales, H JeuneCrack, Agusta, Karma Bangers, and Mike Shabb.
