Biography

Juliette and the Licks was born of a sudden inspiration from actress Juliette Lewis in 2003. Juliette Lewis wanted to experience the thrill of the stage and the screams of the audience, and her reference music was punk rock labelled 77. 2005's You're Speaking My Language enabled the band to tour. Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters was called in to help out on Four on the Floor in 2006. Juliette Lewis finally left The Licks in 2009 to form The New Romantiques.
