Johny Romano, real name Dorin Dragomir, is a Romanian rapper and singer born in Bucharest on November 14, 1998. Born in the working-class district of Ferentari, he grew up in a modest environment alongside his brothers and sisters. Fascinated by music from an early age, he initially studied computer science, but eventually chose to devote himself to rap, driven by a desire to tell the story of his daily life and to highlight his Roma roots. His career really took off in 2021 with the track "Na Janau", produced with the support of artist Connect-R, who took him under his wing. The song was an immediate success, establishing him as a singular voice on the Romanian music scene. Johny Romano popularized the style he calls "Gypsy Trap", a blend of modern trap, urban rap and Roma musical influences, characterized by melodic sounds and great sincerity in his lyrics. Since then, he's chalked up a string of high-profile releases, with tracks like "Praf", "Politai", "Te merau", "BÄieÈi DeÈtepÈi", "InimÄ stai", "Bahtalia" and "IartÄ-mÄ, mamo" and "Miami", used in the soundtrack to the film Miami Bici 2. After the hit " Pe Repeat" (2024), ranked No. 13, "E Mult, E Greu!" (2025) reaches No. 1.
