Maria Cismaru, known professionally as Mira, was born on March 12, 1995, in Târgu Jiu, Gorj County, Romania. She began her musical journey by joining the Anonym Band and gained recognition through Internet cover performances. Mira debuted in 2012 with DJ Marc Ryan under the name Aria, releasing "So (la la)". She participated in the second season of Vocea României, mentored by Marius Moga. Her breakthrough came in 2014 with the release of "Dragostea nu se stinge" featuring Kio and What's Up. Mira signed with Global Records and released notable singles like "Balada de iubire", "Petrecere de adio". In 2017, she became the soloist of DJ Project, releasing hits such as "Omnia" and "InimÄ nebunÄ", which topped radio charts amassed millions of views on social media. Mira has also worked with popular Romanian acts including Vescan, Florian Rus, and Lino Golden. One of Romaniaâs leading female voices in modern pop, Mira released dozens of singles through the 2020s, including O-Zone cover "Dragostea din Tei" (2020), "Cheia inimii mele" with DJ Project, "DragÄ MoÈule" with Aurelia Cimpoieru, and "DeziubeÈte-mÄ" with Mario Fresh in 2021, "Tu cu ea" with Lora, "ToatÄ noaptea" with Juno, and "16 ani" with Uzzi in 2022, "Bye, Bye" with Bvcovia, "Come with me", "Alo, alo" with Vescan, and "Ca-n România" with Theo Rose in 2023. In 2024 followed "Bad Bootyâ, "Ring Ringâ, "SÄ fii tuâ with RareÈ, "E româncÄâ with Juno, and "ÃncÄ ne iubimâ with Florian Rus. After "BunÄ dimineaÈaâ with Liviu Teodorescu in 2025, "Cu Talpile Goale" reached the 15th place in Romanian Songs chart.
