Biography

A member of the group Man Jumping in the 1980s, Scottish composer John Lunn, born in Glasgow in 1956, later switched his focus to music for TV series and opera. For the small screen, he created the themes for Little Dorrit (2008), The White Queen (2013), Grantchester (2014) and, above all, Downtown Abbey, which he accompanied from 2010 onwards, bringing him notoriety. In 2014, he submitted his film soundtrack for Electricity. His operas, such as Zoé (2000) and Mathematics of a Kiss , have been presented at Glyndebourne and the English National Opera. He is also the author of the operetta Tanger Tattoo (2006) and a violin concerto.
