Joe Barbieri, born on December 14, 1973, in Naples, Italy, is a singer, songwriter, and producer. He began his career in 1993 under the production of Pino Daniele. In 2000, he joined the vocal group Neri per Caso, remaining with them until 2002. Barbieri's early albums included Gli amori della vita mia (1993) and Virus (1998). His later works, such as Fuori Catalogo (2003), In Parole Povere (2004), and Maison Maravilha (2009), showcased his evolving style that blended world music, jazz, and the tradition of Italian cantautori. Notable collaborations include "Niente Di Grave" with Jaques Morelenbaum and "Rinascimento" with Paolo Fresu. He has also dedicated albums to vocal jazz heroes like Chet Baker's Chet Lives! (2013) and Billie Holiday's Dear Billie (2019). His album, Tratto Da Una Storia Vera, was released in 2021.
