Biography

In 1995 it seemed as if the singer Joan Osborne had the world at her feet. Her second album 'Relish' had been certified triple platinum following the success of the single 'One of Us', a song which later had a second lease of life when it was used as the theme for the hit TV series 'Joan of Arcadia'. The song, written by Eric Brazilian of The Hooters, was a huge hit for Osborne after Brazilian had been heavily involved in the writing and production of 'Relish'. After being unexpectedly projected into the limelight with the hit album it was to be more than five years before Osborne would release another album by which time the momentum generated by the early hits had all but disappeared. Her third album 'Righteous Love' barely made the top 100 but her blues compilation 'Bring It On Home' released in 2012 saw her nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2017 Osborne revealed her ninth album offering titled ' The Songs of Bob Dylan' which sees her cover some of her favourite Dylan tracks including 'Buckets of Rain', 'Tryin' to Get to Heaven' and 'You Ain't Goin' Nowhere'.
