Biography

Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine is an American punk rock band formed in 2008 by Jello Biafra. Inspired by Iggy Pop's 60th-anniversary concert, Biafra decided to form a new group after previously collaborating with Ralph Spight and Jon Weiss. The band released their debut album The Audacity of Hype in October 2009. In 2011, they released the EP Enhanced Methods of Questioning, which sparked controversy due to a planned performance in Tel Aviv that was later canceled. Their second full-length album, White People and the Damage Done, was released in 2013. The band's lineup has included notable musicians such as Billy Gould, Andrew Weiss, and Paul Della Pelle.
