Biography
Hailing from Walnut Creek, California, Jeff Ryan is an American jazz saxophonist and composer. Heir to a smooth jazz style tinged with soul, funk, rock and fusion, he made a name for himself with his stage performances at jazz festivals such as Spain's Mallorca Smooth Jazz Festival and Portugal's Algarve Festival, before expanding his audience through music platforms. In 2018, for his first year on the music scene, he signed the album Embrace and received the 2018 Revelation of the Year award from JazzTrax and Revelation of the Year from Smooth Jazz Network. In 2020, five of his tracks reach #1 on the Billboard Smooth Jazz chart, before the release the following year of the album Duality and "Sentimental Soul", voted Song of the Year. In 2024, Jeff Ryan signs the album Into Focus, which includes the hit "Speakeasy", ranked #25 on the Smooth Jazz Airplay Top 30.
