Biography

Jean-François Pauzé, known as JF Pauzé, is a Canadian songwriter, composer, musician and performer born in Repentigny, Quebec, on September 12, 1975. He is a self-taught guitarist and ice hockey player. It was in the locker room at a hockey game in 1994 that he met Karl Tremblay, with whom he formed the group Les Cowboys Fringants three years later. Guitarist, singer and harmonica player, he helped write many of the group's songs and contributed to the dozen successful albums released until 2024, before venturing out on his own after Karl Tremblay's death. In October 2025, he released his first personal album, Les Amours de Seconde Main, including the track "Ballon-sonde".
