Biography

Jean-François Novelli, born in 1970 in Fontainebleau, France, is a French tenor. He earned a Maîtrise de Musicologie from Sorbonne University and a Premier Prix de flûte à bec from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMD). Novelli's career began with a focus on early music. He has collaborated with prominent conductors and ensembles such as Philippe Pierlot, Christophe Rousset, Gérard Lesne, Vincent Dumestre, Hervé Niquet, and Olivier Schneebelli. Notable performances include roles in operas like Carmen by Bizet at the Teatro la Fenice in Venice and L’heure espagnole by Maurice Ravel on an Italian tour.
