Biography

Jasmine Myra, born 13â¯Augustâ¯1997 in Lees, Westâ¯Yorkshire, is a British jazz saxophonist and composer. She began performing publicly with local ensembles during her teenage years and released her debut single "New Beginnings" in Aprilâ¯2022, which received attention on independent jazz charts. Her first EP, Bring to Light, launched in Aprilâ¯2019 and established her as a rising voice in contemporary jazz. In Julyâ¯2022 she followed with Horizons, expanding her audience through a national tour. Her 2024 release Rising further showcased her compositional depth, and the 2026 album Where Light Settles-preceded by the single of the same name in Aprilâ¯2026-solidified her position in the UK jazz scene.
