Claus Raible, born on May 3, 1967, in Karlsruhe, Germany, is a German jazz pianist, orchestra leader, composer, and arranger. He began playing the trumpet at age eleven and later took up the piano. During his high school years, he performed with local jazz bands around Munich. Raible studied at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz from 1986 to 1992. His early career included collaborations with notable artists such as Art Farmer and Andy Bey, culminating in his debut performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1989. He has received several awards, including the Solistenpreis at the international Jazzwettbewerb in Mauterndorf (1989) and the Bayerischen Kunstförderpreis (2006). He also released several albums, including Don't Blame Me (2007) and Trio! (2020).
