Jan Jelinek is a German electronic musician known for his work under various aliases, including Farben, Gramm, and The Exposures. His music spanned genres such as minimal techno, glitch, and microhouse, characterized by deep basslines and extensive use of samples from jazz and rock recordings. Jelinek's career began with the release of his first EP, Tendency, in 2000. He followed this with notable albums like Loop-Finding-Jazz-Records (2001) and La nouvelle pauvreté (2003). Throughout his career, Jelinek collaborated with various artists, including Masayoshi Fujita on projects such as Bird, Lake, Objects (2010) and Schaum (2016), and Sven-Åke Johansson on Puls-Plus-Puls (2018). He also founded the German record label Faitiche. Jelinek's discography includes significant releases like The Raw and the Cooked (2021) and Soundtrack For SEASCAPE - Polyptych (2023), showcasing his evolving sound and artistic vision.
