Biography

Jamie Hartman (born 1973, England) is an English singer‑songwriter who began his career as lead vocalist of the London indie‑pop band Ben's Brother. Their 2007 gold‑certified album Beta Male Fairytales and the 2009 release Battling Giants produced the single "Let Me Out", which earned an Ivor Novello nomination. After the band disbanded, Hartman focused on songwriting and production, co‑authoring hits such as "Human" by Rag'n'Bone Man (2016), "Stargazing" by Kygo, and "Hold Me While You Wait" on Lewis Capaldi’s 2019 chart‑topping album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent. His work garnered a 2015 ARIA Award for Conrad Sewell’s "Start Again", a 2019 Grammy nomination for Backstreet Boys’ "Don't Go Breaking My Heart", and a 2022 Grammy nomination for "Here I Am (Singing My Way Home)" from the Respect soundtrack. Hartman continues to collaborate with artists such as Calvin Harris, Rudimental, and Sam Ryder.
