Author, composer, performer, actor and artistic director, Jacques Haurogné (born 1961) trained as a stage manager at ENSATT, before turning to song. He began performing in 1987 at the Théâtre du Tourtour, and recorded his first album for WEA, Amour Potentiel (1988), produced by Michel Jonasz, which was followed by appearances at Paris venues such as the Casino de Paris, Théâtre de la Ville and Théâtre Montparnasse, where he also staged his own shows. After L'Album Bleu (1992), Jacques Haurogné directed the Folies Bergère revue between 1993 and 1995, before recording Fenêtres (1999) and 4 Voix (2001). Inspired by Anne Sylvestre's Fabulettes, he gradually turned to children's songs, with the albums Inspecteur Jako (1999), Capitaine Jako (2002), L'Île en l'Eau (2007) and L'Arbre à Musique (2008), Doudou Perdu (2011), Oh les Mains (2015) or Oh les Pieds (2016), between tributes in the same spirit to Henri Salvador for Faut Rigoler (2008) and to Charles Trenet in Le Jardin Extraordinaire (2013), with the Orchestre du Splendid. In 2005, he was awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
