Jack Reno, born November 30, 1935, in Bloomfield, Iowa, was an American country singer. In the 1960s, Reno made his mark by appearing at the Grand Ole Opry and collaborating with notable artists such as Waylon Jennings and Dolly Parton. He enjoyed success on the charts with singles like "Repeat After Me" (1967), which hit number 10 on the Hot Country charts and "Hitchin' a Ride" (1971), which peaked at number 12. Reno's discography includes albums like I Want One (1968) and I'm A Good Man In A Bad Frame Of Mind (1969). Reno was also a prominent country music DJ, working in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Omaha, Nebraska. He received the Country Music Association's Disc Jockey of the Year award in 1978. Reno passed away on November 1, 2008, in Florence, Kentucky, due to brain cancer.
