Biography

The Italian Instabile Orchestra, a jazz ensemble from Italy, was founded in 1990 by trombonist Pino Minafra, Riccardo Bergerone and Vittorino Curci. The group was established with the intention of avoiding a fixed bandleader or style, embracing a democratic structure where project leaders are chosen for specific repertoires. Notable members included Alberto Mandarini, Carlo Actis Dato, and Giancarlo Schiaffini. Their debut album, Live in Noci and Rive De Gier, was released in 1992. The orchestra's discography also included collaborations with prominent musicians such as Cecil Taylor and Enrico Rava.
