Biography
Ironhorse was a Canadian rock band from Vancouver formed in 1979. The group was founded by Randy Bachman, formerly of The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive. The original lineup included Tom Sparks, John Pierce, and Mike Baird. Their debut album, Ironhorse (1979), featured the single âSweet Lui-Louiseâ (1979), which reached number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 26 in Canada. In 1980, the band underwent a lineup change, retaining only Bachman alongside new members Frank Ludwig, Ron Foos, and Chris Leighton. This incarnation released the album Everything Is Grey (1980), which included the single âWhat's Your Hurry Darlin'â (1980). The group disbanded in 1980 after Foos left to rejoin Paul Revere and the Raiders. The remaining members subsequently formed the group Union with Fred Turner and released the album On Strike.
