Filippo Maria Fanti, better known as Irama, was born on December 20, 1995 in Carrara, Tuscany (Italy), and grew up in Monza, Lombardy. Before becoming interested in hip-hop, he discovered music through artists such as Francesco Guccini and Fabrizio De André. He made his debut when he took part in the 66th Sanremo Festival in 2016 with the track "Cosa Resterà " (No. 100) in the "New Artists" category. A debut album, soberly titled Irama, was released in 2016 and reached No. 41 in the Italian charts. But consecration came two years later in 2018 with two consecutive No. 1s: the EP Plume, featuring the hit "Sera " (No. 2), followed a few months later by the album Giovani, on which "La Ragazza con il Cuore di Latta" stands out (No. 3). In 2020, the Crepe EP reached No. 1 locally, paving the way for the third album, Il Giorno in Cui Ho Smesso di Pensare, which also reached No. 1 in 2022. It includes the duet "Una Lacrima " (no. 24) with Sfera Ebbasta.
