Biography
The Italian singer and rapper popularly known as Alfa was born Andrea De Filippi in Genova on August 22, 2000. Hailing from the neighborhood of Quarto dei Mille, he began his music studies at the age of 8, taking guitar and piano lessons. During his teenage years, he participated in several freestyle battles in his city and then made his debut in 2018 with the single âDove sei?,â followed by the Â¥EM collaborative single âPrima o poiâ and âDisegno.â Following the release of âTempo al tempoâ and âTesta tra le nuvole, Pt. 1â in 2019, Alfa scored his first Top 10 hit with the single âCin Cin,â which obtained triple-platinum certification and was included in his gold-selling debut album Before Wanderlust, produced by Yanomi and ranked Number 20 in Italian charts. In 2020, his track âSul più belloâ was featured on the original soundtrack of the film of the same name, directed by Alice Filippi. Preceded by the singles âSan Lorenzoâ with singer Annalisa and âSnobâ with fellow rapper Rosa Chemical, his sophomore effort Nord finally saw the light in May 2021 and reached Number 14 in local charts. That year, the non-album single âCi Saròâ entered the Italian Top 100 at Number 97. In 2023, his single "Bellissimissima" reached Number four, before his appearance at the Sanremo Festival 2024 with the song "Vai!". Both preceded the release of the third album Non so chi ha creato il mondo ma so che era innamorato, ranked Number 4.
