Integrity, a hardcore punk band formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1988, was founded by Dwid Hellion, Aaron Melnick, and Tony âChubby Freshâ Pines. The band's early work included demo recordings in the late 1980s and their debut album Those Who Fear Tomorrow (1991), which laid the groundwork for the metalcore genre by blending hardcore punk with heavy metal influences. Integrity released several influential albums, including Systems Overload (1996), Seasons in the Size of Days (1997), and Humanity Is the Devil (1995). Notable songs include âVocal Testâ, âJagged Visions of My True Destinyâ, and âI Am the Spellâ. The band's lineup underwent several changes over the years, and frontman Dwid Hellion relocated to Belgium in 2003 while continuing the project. Integrity's music has been cited as influential by bands such as Converge, Hatebreed, and Killswitch Engage.
