Biography
The Business was a British punk rock and oi! band formed in 1979 in Lewisham, South London. The group was founded by Steven Kent, Micky Fitz, Nicholas Cunningham, and Martin Smith. In 1981, the band debuted with the single âHarry Mayâ, which reached number 13 on the UK Indie Chart and remained on the chart for three months. Their early recordings included the EP Smash the Discos (1983) and the studio album Suburban Rebels (1983). The band also released the albums Saturday's Heroes (1985) and Welcome to the Real World (1988). In 1997, the group issued the album The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing but the Truth, which Lars Frederiksen produced. In 2001, the band released the recording No Mercy for You. Fitz was diagnosed with cancer in 2015, and the group performed its final concert in October 2015. Fitz died on 1 December 2016, leading to the band's permanent separation.
