Biography
Imperial State Electric is a Swedish rock band formed in 2009, initially as a solo project by Nicke Andersson. The group evolved into a touring band with members from Cold Ethyl, including Thomas Eriksson, Tobias Egge, and Dolf De Borst. The band toured Scandinavia and Europe on the strength of their self-titled debut album, Imperial State Electric (2010), playing headline shows and supporting acts such as Kiss and Guns N' Roses. For the recording of their second album, Pop War, released March 9, 2012, the project officially became a collaborative band. Their subsequent discography includes the EPs In Concert! (2011) and Eyes (2014), the studio albums Reptile Brain Music (2013), Radio Electric (2013), and Honk Machine (2015), as well as the live album Anywhere Loud (2018).
