Maria Elżbieta "Iga" CembrzyÅska, born on July 2, 1939 in Poland, is a versatile artist known for her roles as an actress and singer. She began her academic journey studying philosophy at Uniwersytet MikoÅaja Kopernika in ToruÅ before transitioning to the National Higher School of Theatre in Warsaw, graduating in 1962. CembrzyÅska's early career included performances in prominent Warsaw theatres such as Teatr Powszechny and Teatr Komedia. CembrzyÅska is best known for her role in The Saragossa Manuscript (1964), directed by Wojciech Has, which marked the beginning of her extensive filmography. She also appeared in several films directed by her husband, Andrzej Kondratiuk. Her notable works include Salto (1965) and Åciana czarownic (1967). In addition to acting, CembrzyÅska has released songs such as MówiÅam żartem and Intymny Åwiat. She also runs her own film company, Iga Film.
