Biography

Idha is the performance name of Swedish singer-songwriter Idha Anna Maria Övelius, born on 22 May 1972 in Södertälje. She achieved professional recognition for a musical style blending indie pop and folk rock. Her recording career includes the debut studio recording Melody Inn (1994), which featured Andy Bell and Ian McLagan. She released the extended play A Woman in a Man's World (1994), featuring guest appearances by Evan Dando and Stephen Duffy. Her discography includes the studio recording Troublemaker (1997), which featured contributions from Tony Barber and Alan White. She became inactive in the music industry in 2000. Her discography includes the tracks “Sorry Sorry” (1997), “Going Down South” (1997), and “Sweet September Rain” (1997).
