Biography

Icon for Hire is an American rock band from Decatur, Illinois. Formed in 2007 by vocalist Ariel Bloomer and guitarist Shawn Jump, the band initially released two EPs independently: Icon for Hire EP in 2008 and The Grey EP in 2009. In July 2010, they signed with Tooth & Nail Records, which released their debut full-length album Scripted in 2011. The album charted at number 7 for Hard Rock Albums and number 5 for Christian Albums on the US Billboard charts. Their second album, Icon for Hire, was released in 2013, reaching number 66 on the Billboard 200. In June 2015, Icon for Hire announced their departure from Tooth & Nail Records to go independent and released their third album, You Can't Kill Us, in 2016. Their fourth album, Amorphous, was released independently in 2021.
