Kazuko Fujii (born June 23, 1970 in Fukuoka Prefecture) is an artist who made a strong impression on the idol scene in the late 1980s. Her debut song, "Check Point," was a smash hit composed by Kyohei Tsutsumi and released on July 25, 1986. The song's edgy digital sound and her dignified singing voice fused together, and was extremely popular among the young people of the time. She released a series of songs, including "Hatsukoi Evolutionary Theory" and"Bad Girl, " written by such splendid artists as Etsuko Raise and Yoyo Agi. In 2023, she performed in her hometown of Fukuoka for the first time since her retirement and attracted a great deal of attention when she performed her unchanged singing voice in front of her old fans.
