Biography

Hypetraxx, a German electronic music group formed in 1996, consisted of Frank Kuchinke, Alex Carpenter, Cengiz Özmaden, and Jesse B. Foerster. The project was produced by Sean Dexter and Ugly Kid Jay and released on the hard trance label Overdose. Their initial breakthrough came with the release of their first singles, "Whop Your Body" and "Do U Love Me?" in 1996, followed by "Wind It Up!" in 1997. These early releases helped establish Hypetraxx in the electronic music scene. Hypetraxx gained significant attention with the release of "The Darkside" in 1999, which became their biggest commercial success. This track was followed by notable releases such as "See The Day" in 2000 and "Paranoid" in 2001. Their debut album Tales From The Darkside was released in 2000, marking a pivotal moment in their career. The album included the hit single "The Darkside" and other popular tracks that solidified Hypetraxx's place in the electronic music genre. Throughout their career, Hypetraxx achieved notable chart success and were awarded a platinum certification in Denmark for "The Darkside" in 2001. They also released several other singles, including "Send Me An Angel" in 2002, "Ich Bin So" in 2003, and the mini-album The Promiseland in July 2003. Hypetraxx disbanded in 2004, with their final release being the single "Dead Or Alive."
