Biography

Hungry Kids of Hungary, an Australian four-piece indie pop band from Brisbane, Queensland, was formed in mid-2007 by drummer Ryan Strathie. The group consisted of Dean McGrath, Kane Mazlin, Ben Dalton, and Strathie. Their debut single "Set it Right" was released in 2008, followed by their self-titled EP, which gained significant attention from the Australian music industry, including high rotation on Triple J. In December 2008, they won the Queensland leg of Triple J Unearthed Competition, securing a spot at the Big Day Out. Their debut studio album, Escapades, was released in 2010 under Stop Start Records and peaked at number 24 on the ARIA Charts. In 2013, their second studio album, You're a Shadow, reached number 18 on the ARIA Charts. The band disbanded on November 28, 2013.
