The Hometown Boys, a Tejano band from the United States of America, began their musical journey with several albums released on EMI Records between 1991 and 1995. The group's breakthrough came with the release of Tres Ramitas in 1994, which featured the single "El Pintor" written by Johnny Degollado. This album won Best Traditional Album at the 1995 Tejano Music Awards, marking a significant milestone in their career. The band later moved to Fonovisa and continued to achieve notable success, winning multiple awards including the 1997 Tejano Music Awards Best Instrumental Award for "Joe's Special 10" and the 2003 Tejano Music Awards for Echame A Mi La Culpa, which was named Album of the Year. They also received recognition at the 30th Anniversary Tejano Music Awards in 2010, the 31st Tejano Music Awards in 2011 for Simplemente El Jefe, and the 32nd Tejano Music Awards in 2012 for Manteniendo La Promesa.
