Initially an unofficial grouping of rock stars in the early 1970s, The Hollywood Vampires took a decisive step forward in 2012 when Alice Cooper and his friend the actor Johnny Depp decided, with the help of Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, to make the band's life official. This announcement materialized first with a few stage performances, then with the recording of a homonymous album in 2015, produced by Bob Ezrin and featuring an impressive array of stars including Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Brian Johnson, Marilyn Manson, Slash and Perry Farrell.
