Hollerado, an indie rock band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, was formed in 2007 with Menno Versteeg (lead vocals, guitar), Nixon Boyd (lead guitar, backing vocals), Dean Baxter (bass, backing vocals), and Jake Boyd (drums, backing vocals). The band gained early attention as one of Montreal's top up-and-coming bands. In 2009, they self-released their debut album Record in a Bag as a digital download. The album was later re-released by Royal Mountain Records and Arts & Crafts in 2010. Hollerado toured extensively, including performances at festivals like SXSW and NXNE. In 2013, they released their second album, White Paint, followed by Born Yesterday in 2017. They were nominated for the Best New Group Award at the 2011 Juno Awards. After releasing Retaliation Vacation in 2019 and embarking on a final tour, Hollerado disbanded. The band reunited in 2024 to support Tokyo Police Club's shows and officially announced their reunion in 2025 with plans for new music.
