Biography

Herrn Stumpfes Zieh & Zupf Kapelle, a Swabian band from Baden-Württemberg, was formed in 1991 by Jürgen Ziegelbauer, Stephan Stumpf, Marcel Hafner, and Benny Jäger. Their initial public performances took place during the Tour de Ländle in Schwäbisch Gmünd. In 1992, Manfred "Manne" Arold joined the group, and Michael "Flex" Flechsler replaced Ziegelbauer. The band gained prominence as the house band for SWR television shows like Hannes und der Bürgermeister and Laible & Frisch. They released their debut album Badenkele 'n' Klee in 1997, followed by live album Unterwegs im Silberrausch (Live) in 1998. Subsequent releases included Frummzigg (2002), Sei Wie Du (2005), and Henderscheviersche (2008). The band contributed to the 2006 World Cup album Heimspiel with their song "Wir haben eine Fahne". In 2017, they released sehr sogar, and embarked on a farewell tour in 2024 and 2025.
