Biography

Henning Staerk is a Danish pop rock singer and performer born on March 20, 1949, in Holstebro. He began his career in 1965 with the rhythm 'n' blues band Beat Stones, later renamed Road Runners. In 1967, Staerk joined The Poisons and released the single "Reach Out I’ll Be There / Call My Name". He co-founded Chapter Three in 1969 before joining Jackie Boo Flight in 1970. From 1973 to 1977, he performed as a vocalist and instrumentalist for Spillemændene, followed by a tenure with Gnags between 1977 and 1981. Staerk released his eponymous solo debut, Henning Stærk, in 1981. His discography included Small Town Saturday Night (1992) and Whatever Gets You Thru the Night (1994). After releasing Hit House (2000), he launched his own record label for the 2004 album Stærk. He toured with the Henning Stærk Trio and released the studio album Old Time Rocker in 2009.
