Henning Kvitnes, born on May 13, 1958, in Tistedal, Halden, Norway, is a Norwegian singer-songwriter. He started his music career with The Ice Cream Band, who opened for Elvis Costello at Chateau Neuf in Oslo in 1978. They later changed their name to The Young Lords and released Same Shit - New Wrapping (1980). His solo career began with the release of his first Norwegian album Veien hjem (1991). He won a Norwegian Grammy, Spellemannprisen, for his album Stemmer i gresset (2007). Throughout his career, he released numerous albums including Back to Little Eden (1987) and Solitude Road (1988).
