Biography
Héctor Pacheco, born Antonio Lino Ingaramo on March 15, 1918, in Marcos Juárez, Córdoba, Argentina, was a singer and composer known for his contributions to tango music. From a young age, Pacheco showed a keen interest in music and began performing before reaching adulthood. His breakthrough came at the age of 20 when he won a singing contest in Rosario, which led to performances on Radio Cerealista. In Buenos Aires, Pacheco initially imitated AgustÃn Magaldi but soon developed his own singing style. He collaborated with various artists, including Alberto Pugliese and Pedro Maffia. In 1948, he recorded "Milonga para Gardel" for Odeon and his career took a significant turn when he joined Osvaldo Fresedo's orchestra, defining his unique style and repertoire. Other notable hits include "Milonguita" and "DiscepolÃn". He passed away on July 28, 2003.
