Hatem Al Iraqi, born Hatem Abbas Farawi on March 20, 1969, in al-Thawrah, Sadr City, Baghdad, Iraq, is a singer. Before his music career took off, he worked as an oil salesman. His breakthrough came in the late 1980s with his first song "Makhtouba", which gained radio play. In 1990, he released his debut album Afker Feek, followed by Tmneet in 1991, marking his national television appearance with the song "Tamanite". Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Al Iraqi released a series of albums. He collaborated with notable Middle Eastern artists such as Kathem Al Saher, Rahma Riad, Muhannad Mohsen, and Shatha Hassoun. Al Iraqi has performed worldwide and appeared as a guest on Arab Idol.
