Born in New York on September 7, 1972, Harper Simon is the offspring of songwriter Paul Simon, the most famous half of the duo Simon & Garfunkel. Driven by the desire to become a musician himself, Sean Lennon's friend studied at Boston's Berklee College, then spent a decade in exile in London, where he hung out with the Menlo Park combo. Back in his homeland, he took his career into his own hands, inviting a host of seasoned professionals to contribute to his successful homonymous debut album, released in 2009. Four years and many collaborations later comes the follow-up, Division Street, still produced by Tom Rothcock.
