Hanafugetsu, a Japanese band formed in 2012, consists of lead vocalist and pianist Yuko Suzuhana, shakuhachi player Daisuke Kaminaga, and koto player Kiyoshi Ibukuro. The trio debuted after Suzuhana recruited Ibukuro and Kaminaga to perform at the NicoNico ChÅkaigi stage in 2013. Their debut album KojÅ no Tsuki, Ruten no Hana was released in May 2013, followed by Theme of Hanafugetsu in January 2014, and Ame ga Aketara in June 2014. The band's music often incorporates traditional Japanese instruments and themes, with lyrics frequently referencing poetry and natural elements. Their EP Tsuki ni Terasare, Kaze ni Yureru Hana , released in January 2017, showcased their unique blend of world music influences. Hanafugetsu also contributed to the formation of the fusion metal band Wagakki Band. They released their 2nd EP, Jiku No Tobira, on April 8, 2026.
