Biography

Halou is a dream pop band from San Francisco, California, formed in 1997 by Rebecca and Ryan Coseboom. The couple previously performed together in the Santa Cruz-based band Anomie before forming Halou after earlier collaborative projects. Their debut album We Only Love You (1998) was released on the independent label Bedazzled, followed by the compilation Sans Soucie (1999). Their album Wiser (2001), was released through Nettwerk. The band later released Wholeness & Separation (2006) and a self-titled album (2008) on Vertebrae. Halou also gained recognition for their remix of Rod Stewart’s “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy,” which reached Number 1 on the Billboard club chart. The group officially dissolved in 2008.
