Biography

Quebec rock band founded in 1998, in Lac St-Jean (Canada), made up of Fred Fortin, Olivier Langevin and Pierre Fortin. The three are also members of the group Galaxie, which formed in 2002. Gros Mené released their first album on April 6, 1999, Tue Ce Drum Pierre Bouchard, in honor of Bouchard, who contributed half the tracks. After an absence of 13 years, the band returned in 2012 with the opus Agnus Dei , on which two songs were played on Quebec rock radio: " St-Prime " and " Venus ". The following year, it won the Félix for Alternative Album of the Year at the ADISQ gala. A decade passes before a third album is released under the name Pax Et Bonum, on April 1, 2022. It was accompanied by a festival tour that same year. The band also brews a lager at the La Chouape microbrewery in Saint-Félicien, named in honor of the album, in 2022.
