Biography

Greta Panettieri, born on April 7, 1978, in Rome, Italy, is an Italian singer. She began studying violin at age six and later expanded into piano and vocals. In 1994, she won a scholarship to Berklee College of Music but chose to stay in New York City, performing in various clubs with jazz groups and other genres. Panettieri founded Greta's Bakery in 2004 and signed with Universal Music Group in 2005. She was later signed by Decca Records (Universal Music Group) in 2007. Panettieri toured Europe as Joe Jackson's opening act in 2009 and released The Edge of Everything with Greta's Bakery in 2010. Her live album Brazilian Nights (Live at ZincBar) was released in 2011 under the Greta's Bakery music label. In 2016, she released her solo album Shattered/Sgretolata. Panettieri has collaborated with notable artists such as Gegè Telesforo and Sergio Cammariere.
