Biography
Govardo is a songwriter duo formed in 2017 by Jack Rose and Dom Sky, who began working together while living in Goa, India, where they developed a harmony-led, acoustic folk-pop sound shaped by street performance and travel. Their first releases included singles such as âQueen of Camouflageâ (2017) and âDragon Eyesâ (2018), followed by Follow the Sun (Live) (2019), which captured their set in performance format and featured originals like âIn a DalÃâ alongside their best-known recording, âVincent.â In 2020 they kept building their catalog with standalone songs including âOceansâ and âTrying to Get My Heart Back,â and they later issued additional singles such as âThe Long and Winding Roadâ (2021). In 2025, Govardo compiled and expanded their repertoire with the album Angel Folk, revisiting core titles from earlier years (âOceans,â âTrying to Get My Heart Back,â âIn a DalÃ,â âVincentâ) and pairing them with select covers.
